The new Dutch ensemble Kaaskop - featuring guitarist Ed Verhoeff, bassist Boudewijn Lucas and drummer Lucas van Merwijk - will interrupt its national tour for a three-week concert series in China. Performances are scheduled in Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin, Xiamen, Guangzhou, Changsha and Zhuhai.

Kaaskop offers a fresh perspective on Dutch musical heritage. Their repertoire spans from Boudewijn de Groot and Anouk to classics by Golden Earring, Herman Brood and Jules de Korte. Taking the melody as their starting point, Kaaskop creates sparkling interpretations, carried by inventive arrangements and improvisation.

With this tour, Kaaskop places Dutch music firmly on the international stage - showing that the nation ’s cultural heritage resonates far beyond its borders.
